the ultimate rafting experience!
Are you ready for an experience of a life-time? For two days your guides will show you why we all love the river life more than anything else... Forget the cell phone, forget social media, and get ready to meet nature first hand in this descent of the Austervefsna from just below Hattfjelldal to Trofors.
This is the only overnight rafting offered in Norway, and we are excited to show you the beauty of the river as it flows about 35 kilometers in between canyon walls, over torrenting cascades, huge wave trains and tranquil pools.
This is an outdoor adventure unlike anything else in Norway, with technical rapids and challenging whitewater. In places we need to get out and walk past rapids that are not suitable to be descended, and we will share endless moments of joy and fun in the beautiful river canyon of the Austervefsna.
Food, transportation, gear and accomodation is provided for the whole duration of the trip.
Day 1: Meet and greet early at 09.00 at Grane bygdetun. We organize and load the minibus, get our gear, and we are off to the river! A full day of rafting awaits, filled with whitewater, adrenaline and huge smiles. On this first day, a warm lunch is provided halfway down the river. We will set up a wilderness camp and sleep comfortably under the summer sky in tents and lavo. We will serve a good dinner to prepare us for the next day.
Day 2: Starting it gently with a float down Stillelva, the lower canyons of the Austervefsna awaits us. From the confluence of the Fiplingdalen river the Austervefsna flows through technical and pushy canyons, all the way down to Trofors. Again we will have lunch by the river side, and finally pull into Trofors at around 16.00.
Difficulty & Safety
You will get a safety briefing and a paddle technique briefing before starting the trip.
